St Simon's Week of Prayer - June 2-9

At the start of June we will be joining in the global movement with Christians across the world praying "Thy Kingdom Come" - as we hold a special week with daily opportunities to pray together for more people to come to know Jesus, to deepen our own relationship with God, to simply say "Come Holy Spirit" and work in us and those for whom we pray.

Events include -

SUNDAY 2nd  at 10:30am - INTERACTIVE PRAYER SERVICE 

We start our week with a focus on perseverance in prayer and intercession - God with us in all circumstances. 

MONDAY 3rd 9.10-10.10am - MORNING PRAYER MEETING

Prayer for our church, neighbourhood and the wider world.

TUESDAY 4th from 6pm onwards - OPEN CHURCH 

The Church will be open to provide a quiet space for prayer with some guided readings and creative/interactive prayer stations. The evening will include our monthly Prayer PEG (Parish Evening Group) from 7.45-9pm. Coffee/tea and cakes served. 

WEDNESDAY 5th 7-8am EARLY RISERS – ON YOUR WAY TO WORK 

An hour using The Lord's Prayer as our guide. Come for the whole hour or any part, as you are able to. Fresh coffee brewing!

THURSDAY 6th 6.30-8.30pm - PRAYER WALK THE PARISH 

We meet at church, then prayer walk to cover the streets of our parish in pairs or small groups, gathering to pray together at the end. If walking is a challenge, please come and pray at church for the walkers and our streets!

FRIDAY 7th 7-8am - HOLY COMMUNION AND PRAYER FOR THE WORKPLACE  

Come and celebrate communion together as a start and a send-off to your day, whether heading home, to work or elsewhere. If you can't make it but would like your workplace to be prayed for, please email nina@stsimons.co.uk    

FRIDAY 7th from 7-11pm - HALF NIGHT OF PRAYER 

Hourly cycles of bible readings, prayer, prayer stations, refreshments and worship. Come for the whole evening or any part, as you are able to.

SUNDAY 9th at 10.30am - PENTECOST CELEBRATION 

Wrapping up the week of prayer at church on Sunday morning with worship, prayers, testimonies, and a talk
